Location: The office is conveniently located at the junction of Howard Avenue and Tecumseh Road East behind the new Shopper’s Drug Mart in the “600 Building” in the Windsor Medical Center. It is located only a few minutes from EC Row Expressway and the tunnel to Detroit and is easily accessible to all bus lines. Office Hours: Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. However, we are available 24 hours a day for emergency dental surgical care. Our phone is answered 24 hours a day by either me, my staff or my answering service staff. If you have a dental surgical emergency, we will be available for you. Our schedule also allows us the opportunity to treat patients in the operating room in all the hospitals in Windsor on a weekly basis. Office Procedures: We are a full oral and maxillofacial office providing for your surgical needs including implants, extractions, predenture surgery, TMJ problems, pathology such as cysts or tumors, treatment of jaw infections, orthodontic extractions and assist in the treatment of jaw deformities and even bone grafting. Operating Room: We were one of the first offices in Ontario to have a fully equipped state-of-the-art operating room in our own private office. Dr. David Doerksen, a certified Anesthetist, has been on staff for over 22 years providing a sedation or full general anesthesia for our medically comprised adults, young children and other patients for oral maxillofacial surgery and implant surgery. In addition, we have provided our operating room facilities for the use of plastic surgeons and general dentists to have their patients anesthetized for their care. Therefore, if you are apprehensive and have a fear of dentistry, allow Dr. Doerksen to administer an anesthetic for you so that are your dental treatment can be done while you are asleep. |
Financial Policy: The office financial policy allows the use of Visa or MasterCard Credit Cards as well as Debit Cards, cash or checks. We work closely with you in the completion of your insurance forms and will attempt to allow payment plans for certain procedures. Infection Control: Our office follows the very strict guidelines as established by the Royal College of Dental Surgeons for infection control. We have maintained the highest standard of care in the treatment of our patients. Office Philosophy: The policy is our office is really quite simple: treat everyone as we would want to be treated. We endeavor to provide the highest standard of care in a clean, infection-free environment with a knowledgeable and caring staff and doctors. |
Office Decor: As you enter the office, the first thing that you will probably notice,besides the old wooden reception desk and friendly staff, is the sports decor. Hanging from the walls in the reception area are signed jerseys of Gretzky, Howe, Yzerman, Osgood among others with original photos, autographs, hockey sticks and other sport memorabilia. As you enter the consultation areas, you’ll find that we even have a Kirk Gibson room as well as Darrell Evans and Alan Trammell rooms. One of the walls is lined with photos, bats, ball and autograph of the World Series Champion 1984 Detroit Tigers while another wall honours the 1968 Tigers. Even if you are not a patient, you may feel free to visit us and browse through our museum. |
